COMMUNITY INTEGRATED EMPLOYMENT

In 1989 Show began to offer a new service, Community Integrated Employment.

CIE is an employment placement program specializing in providing employment to individuals with developmental disabilities. The program provides an individual the opportunity to perform work in integrated settings, increase earning potential, and develop working relationships with co-workers from the community.

How the Program Works

Professional employment specialists analyze an employer's needs and match prospective employees with abilities to fill those needs. The employment specialist works with the individual to provide on-site job training, remaining with the employee until the training is complete. The employment specialist is also available to ensure the employer is satisfied with the employee's work performance.

Show's CIE program has placed individuals at banks, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, restaurants, grocery stores, and manufacturing industries.
